Our staff has a clear background check, is trained in CPR/First Aid, has passed a negative TB test, is mandated reporter certified, and MLC/Shura council continues to enhance their teacher training

Ms. Viviana Gabriela Lo Porto

Founder, Director, and Multiple Subject Lead Classroom Teacher

Ms. Viviana Lo Porto is a bilingual educator native from Buenos Aires, Argentina. She holds an A.A. in Liberal Studies with a minor in English as a Second Language (ESL). She completed Certifications in Child Development with more than 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units (Lead preschool teacher and After-school programs).

She is a Certified Montessori Educator and Classical physical education instructor for children ages 2-17. 

                    She holds a Master’s degree in Spanish Language and a Bachelor's in Education from CSUN. She has translated a Research book on Babies’ Development, from Spanish to English, The Emotional Memory of Uterine Life from the Spanish Author Jesus Casla in 2020. Madrid, Spain.

Presently, she is a student at California State University San Bernardino, completing her Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership. 

              Having expertise in the Montessori Method, over 20 years of teaching experience, including leading roles in public and private Islamic schools, the French International School of Los Angeles, and a private all girl’s high school, teaching 8-11th graders, Mrs. Viviana has well-rounded experience with many age-levels and methodologies. She has directed after school programs for more than 3 years, homeschooled her two sons for over 10 years, and worked as a lead preschool teacher at Montessori Little House of Children in San Fernando Valley, CA.

                  Her passion is in working with children of all ages, catering to their needs, finding their motivation for learning and growing together, inspired by their creativity, curiosity, and teachings of Maria Montessori. This is reflected in her success of Establishing, Directing and teaching at Montessori Learning Center (MLC) for the past four years.

She continuously trains her Staff to provide the best learning environment to all students who join this wonderful establishment.

Sara Alomari

Quran, Arabic & Islamic studies Instructor

Mrs. Sarah Alomari was born and raised in Jordan, where she was able to gain expertise in Arabic and Islamic studies. She has completed University Education, and plans to continue pursuing her educational journey in the States. She is Certified in the Recitation of the Holy Quran. Mrs. Sarah is also a Hafiz of the Quran since the age of 15, and also holds a certificate in
( Al Qaida Al Nourania)
. Mrs. Alomari has served as a tutor in the community and in Mosques, where she would assist students in learning how to read the Holy Quran properly.

Mumtaz Alam

Completed Child Development units at Chaffey College including Child Growth and Development, Art, music, Dance, Child/Family and Community, Principles of Early Childhood and more.

Owned and Operated Home her own Childcare facility with 20+ years of experience working with young Children.

Sidra Zubair 

Preschool Teacher

 

Ms. Sidra brings a unique blend of compassion, expertise, and a diverse professional background to her role as a preschool teacher. With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Brooklyn college, New York, she has a deep understanding of early childhood development and a passion for nurturing young minds.

Before transitioning into education, Ms. Sidra worked for eight years as an Office Manager and Patient Counselor for an Oncology Hematology group in Upland, where they honed their organizational skills and empathy while supporting patients and families.

Outside the classroom, Ms. Sidra is a dedicated parent to two wonderful boys, ages 10 and 7.  She is currently expanding her skill set by pursuing a Linux Engineering program at Linoop Private School, showcasing her commitment to lifelong learning.

With a warm and patient approach, Ms. Sidra creates a supportive and engaging environment where preschoolers can explore, grow, and thrive.

Classroom Teacher

 

                   Ms. Rashid is a dedicated educator, counselor, and facilitator with over two decades of experience supporting individuals and families. She holds a Master's in Education from the University of Redlands (2012) and has a longstanding passion for helping students and communities thrive.

                   Her professional journey includes serving as a tutor and student support staff at Merced College, where she worked closely with the International Students Department and supported the Dean of Extended Education. She also spent 16 years as a counselor for the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), providing vital guidance and advocacy for children and families.

                  In addition to her counseling background, MS. Rashid is a certified parenting and anger management facilitator, delivering impactful programs that foster healthier family dynamics and emotional well-being. She has also shared her love for education as a teacher at an Islamic school, where she connected with students and encouraged their personal and academic growth.

                  Having lived in the Rancho Cucamonga area for 25 years, she is deeply rooted in her community. A proud mother, Ms. Rashid enjoys reading, continuous learning, and spending quality time with her family. Her commitment to education, mentorship, and personal development reflects her dedication to helping others achieve their fullest potential.

While school personnel are able to work with students with mild learning differences, MLC does not offer programs or services for students who require unique or specialized educational accommodations as identified under the federal law known as IDEA
